🐦 Upcoming Training schools:

  1. šŸ—“ļø Ornithology Field Skills Training – Mehdia, Morocco | 14–18 April

Morocco, which is home to many migratory species, and which serves as passage area to many others, is a prime candidate for a training school in field ornithology. We will host a one-week training school in basic field ornithology skills. We will equip young students, researchers and conservationists with basic field skills such as bird identification, survey techniques, morphometric measurements, and other techniques, to encourage them into the world of ornithology.

šŸŽÆ Target audience: early-career students, researchers, and conservationists—mainly local, with limited spots available for international (especially North African) participants to foster exchange and networking.

  2. šŸ—“ļø Statistics in R for Ornithology – Milan, Italy | 23–27 June

This training school will cover the necessary basics of data analysis and statistics in R. The aim of the school is to equip young researchers with the essential statistical tools for ornithological research, including basic concepts in statistics, data visualisation and linear modelling. The course will combine theoretical sessions with hands-on sessions using RStudio.

🧭 Upcoming Meetings

  1. šŸ—“ļø EUFLYNET Pre-Conference Meeting – Bangor, Wales | 16–17 August
